Monogris E

A weather resistant polymer modified substrate preparation and finishing coat render designed for use on multiple masonry substrates or when applying as a base coat onto damp substrates. MONOGRIS E is also suitable for receiving a range of PAREX top coat finishes.

Description

A high performance polymer modified, weather resistant, grey base coat and finishing render for vertical external and internal walls.

MONOGRIS E is suitable for machine spraying or hand application and can be finished in a smooth sponged or float fine down finish and left in its natural self-finish condition, which can be painted or is suitable to receive one of our PAREXDIRECT range of DPR SAND COARSE & SAND FINE and REVLANE+ TALOCHE GROS & TALOCHE FIN acrylic coatings or our SKALCEM 100 mineral based coating.

MONOGRIS E is suitable for rendering onto a range of masonry substrates, for equalising suction on mixed substrates, wet substrate and as a bonding base coat on to high or low suction substrates;
Ultra-lightweight, lightweight & dense aggregate concrete blocks.

The NHBC 2017 Chapter 6.11 Render, advise the following concrete block categorisation.

Block category

Compressive strength of the blockwork

Dry density

Ultra-lightweight aggregate

3.6 – 7.3N/mm²

<950kg/m³

Lightweight aggregate

3.6 – 7.3N/mm²

950 - 1500kg/m³+

Dense aggregate

7.5N/mm²

1500kg/m³

Standard low and normal density lightweight blocks. The NHBC 2017 Chapter 6.11 Render, advise the following concrete block categorisation.

Block category

Compressive strength of the blockwork

Dry density

Low density aircrete

2.9 – 3.6N/mm²

<500kg/m³

Normal density aircrete

3.6 – 9.0N/mm²

500kg/m³+

Always take particular note of the block manufacturer’s guidance on suitability.
Clay bricks or blocks e.g. Porotherm;
Durisol dry stacked interlocking wall units;
Existing sound renders
Shuttered concrete walls
Base coats conforming to BS5262;

It is recommended to use TV10 MESH as a minimum at stress points or vulnerable areas above and below window and door heads, cill and openings.

Subject to location and a Parex specification being issued, MONOGRIS E in conjunction with MONOREX GM, MONOREX GF and MONOBLANCO top coat finishes, applied jointly at a minimum 15mm finished thickness can meet the requirements for Sheltered, Moderate and Severe exposure zones and at a minimum of 20mm finished thickness can meet the requirement for Very Severe exposure zones.
