SikaWall®-1015 Adhesive Coat

SikaWall-1015 Adhesive Coat is a factory batched dry mix render which contains the optimal amount of polymer needed to adhere to insulation boards. 
This product has been specifically designed to receive Sika approved glass fibre reinforcing mesh. This product only requires the addition of clean potable water no other material should be added.

When applied to a correctly prepared even substrate at a thickness of 3 mm (Recommended Thickness) a 25 kg bag approximately covers 5 m2
Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

Suitable Substrates

  • Graphite EPS
  • Phenolic
  • Mineral Wool

Unsuitable Substrates

  • Masonry Substrates
  • Uneven & Problematic Substrates

MIXING

• Mix with 5.5 litres of clean potable water no other material should be added 

• Mix with a concrete mixer or paddle mixer

• Mix for approximately five minutes to allow dispersion of binders and additives.

• Care should be taken not to over mix or over trowel as this will reduce the mechanical properties of the material

 

APPLICATION

• SikaWall®-1015 Adhesive coat must only be applied using a traditional troweling technique.

• SikaWall®-1015 Adhesive coat has a maximum application thickness of 6 mm.

• To achieve maximum thickness the product should be applied over 2 passes.

• First pass of 3 mm applied to the substrate, the fibre glass mesh then embedded into SikaWall®-1015 Adhesive coat whilst still wet.

• A further 2-3 mm of SikaWall®-1015 Adhesive coat should be applied to a smooth flat finish once first pass has taken up.
